The Turkish Ambassador to Cairo revealed that a new port is being prepared for exporting wheat from Kazakhstan, which is a landlocked country. This port will work on facilitating the export of Kazakhstan wheat to Egypt, passing by Turkey.
This statement asserted during a meeting between Eng. Abou Zayed Mohamed Abou Zayed, minister of supply and domestic trade, and the Turkish ambassador and the escorted delegation this morning. A number of officials in the ministry of supply attended the meeting to discuss the ways of commodity cooperation between Egypt and Turkey during the coming period.
The ambassador mentioned that this portal for Kazakhstan wheat will be announced when the new port gets ready; explaining that this will help decreasing the cost of importing the wheat to Egypt.
The Turkish side also offered its complete help to Egypt in dealing with the joint European market and showing the Turkish experience to Egypt in such a field.
The Egyptian minister of supply, on his side, affirmed the increase of wheat in Black Sea. And the two sides agreed on forming a technical committee includes the Egyptian and Turkish sides to study the ways of cooperation in the fields of commercial exchange between the two countries.
