The Egyptian exports to the Turkish market during the first-half of 2013 achieved high growth rates recording EGP 4.7 billion, as against EGP 3.6 billion during the same period in 2012.
According to sources from the Foreign Trade Sector to “Amwal Al Ghad”, Egypt’s exports to Turkey focused on 4 main sectors, they the chemical and fertilizers sector (EGP 2.2 billion, followed by the textile and furnishings sector (EGP889 million).
Meanwhile, the third one was the build material sector (EGP 582 million), and the ready-made garments sector reached EGP 389 million.
On his part, Zaki Ekinci, Chairman of Turkish-Egyptian Businessmen Association (TUMİAD), has asserted to “Amwal Al Ghad” that the Turkish market is still full of promising export opportunities in numerous sectors to the Egyptian market. Moreover, the association is working toward developing the trade exchange movement and the investment between the two countries.
