Türkiye’s inflation rises 38.10% YoY in March ’25

Türkiye’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) jumped 38.10 per cent year-on-year in March 2025, Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reported on Thursday. Ona monthly basis, CPI rose by 2.46 per cent.

Inflation since December stood at 10.06 per cent, while the 12-month moving average reached 51.26 per cent.

Food and non-alcoholic beverages saw a 37.12 per cent annual rise, while transportation increased 21.59 per cent, and housing costs surged 68.63 per cent.

Monthly, food prices rose 4.94 per cent, transportation edged up 0.25 per cent and housing climbed 2.10 per cent.

Core inflation, which excludes unprocessed food, energy, alcohol, tobacco, and gold, rose 36.99 per cent annually and 1.30 per cent monthly.
