U.S. Stock Futures were lower after S&P 500 record a day earlier
U.S. stock futures edged lower Wednesday, suggesting that major indexes will take a breather after climbing to record highs.
Futures tied to the S&P 500 ticked down 0.3%, a day after the benchmark set its 27th closing record of the year. Contracts linked to the technology-heavy Nasdaq-100 index also slid 0.3%, while Dow Jones Industrial Average futures retreated 0.5%.
Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average YM00, -0.43% were down 114 points, or 0.4%, at 29,690.
Nasdaq-100 futures NQ00, -0.43% were down 40 points, or 0.3%, at 12,412.
