ADNOC’s offshore Satah Al Razboot (SARB) oil field has achieved a 25 per cent increase in production capacity, reaching 140,000 barrels per day (bpd) through advanced digital solutions. This growth supports ADNOC’s goal to reach a production capacity of 5 million bpd by 2027.
Located 120 kilometres northwest of Abu Dhabi, SARB field now operates remotely from Zirku island, 20 km away, utilising smart well operations and production management technologies. This digitalisation has enhanced real-time decision-making, reduced costs, and lowered emissions. Further AI solutions are planned to optimise operations.
Abdulmunim Saif Al Kindy, ADNOC Upstream Executive Director, highlighted that the integration of AI and digital technologies aligns with ADNOC’s strategy for sustainable growth and efficiency. The technologies, including AIQ’s DrillRep and OptiDrill, improve drilling efficiency by processing data from rigs and wells.
