UAE’s PureHealth acquires UK’s Circle Health Group for $1.2 bn

UAE healthcare firm PureHealth has made its first foray into the United Kingdom following an agreement on Monday to acquire Circle Health Group, the UK’s largest independent operator of hospitals, for 4.41 billion dirhams ($1.2 billion).

The deal gives the healthcare firm 100 percent of Circle Health Group’s portfolio, which includes specialities such as orthopaedics, oncology, cardiothoracic surgery, ophthalmology, neurosurgery and general surgery.

This acquisition forms part of PureHealth’s global expansion programme, which includes acquisitions previously completed in the U.S., as well as entry in other international markets.
