UK goods, services prices set to rise, BoE warns

Goods and services prices are expected to rise again, and wage pressures in the economy could persist for years, according to Catherine Mann, an external member of the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee.

In a podcast with the Financial Times, Mann highlighted her concerns about the ongoing risks of inflation, even though the main rate remained at the bank’s 2 per cent target in June.
