UK to host intl. investment summit on Oct. 14

Britain’s new government announced it will host an international investment summit on October 14, aiming to boost economic growth through increased investment.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer plans to gather up to 300 industry leaders to drive investment in the UK, as stated by the government.

Business Minister Jonathan Reynolds is set to present the UK as a stable trading partner capable of supporting sustained investment and economic growth over the next decade.

Following the Labour Party’s return to power after a landslide victory on July 4, Starmer has prioritised economic growth, targeting a 2.5 per cent annual increase, similar to pre-financial crisis levels.
