URGENT: Egypt’s annual core CPI inflation eases in March — CBE

Egypt’s annual core consumer price index (CPI) declined to 9.4 per cent in March 2025, down from 10.0 per cent in February, according to data released by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) on Thursday.

On a monthly basis, CPI inflation slowed to 0.9 per cent in March, compared to 1.6 per cent in February 2025 and 1.4 per cent in March 2024.

The drop in inflation suggests a gradual easing in price pressures following months of elevated levels driven by currency fluctuations and global economic headwinds.

The central bank said it would release its monthly inflation note on April 15, 2025.
