U.S. Senator John McCain, Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has arrived in Cairo Tuesday morning in a visit for several days to the country where he will meet with Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi.
McCain will also meet with Essam Al-Haddad – Deputy President of Egypt for External Relations and International Cooperation ; a number of opposition figures in Egypt along with some members in Shura Council (Upper House).
Talks will mostly focus on the democratic transition in Egypt and the reecent developments in the region, primarily Syrian and the Palestinian issue.
