US stocks bounce back after Monday’s rout
US stocks opened higher on Tuesday morning ET, with investors snapping up discounted stocks following a broad market decline the previous day. Positive sentiment was also fueled by dovish comments from Federal Reserve officials.
At 09:45 ET (13:45 GMT), the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 88.44 points at the open to 38,638.30.
The S&P 500 opened higher by 14.84 points, or 29 per cent, at 5,194.67. On the other hand, the Nasdaq Composite was 39.98 points, or 0.25 per cent down, to 16,150.45.
