U.S. stocks mostly gained Tuesday with pharmaceutical company Pfizer Inc.’s better-than-expected earnings helping lift the Dow Jones Industrial Average to its highest finish since October 2007. “Everything is reverting back to 2007, last time we were in the 1,500 range was 2007, and before that was 2000,” Art Hogan, market strategist at Lazard Capital Markets, said of the S&P 500 . The Dow industrials rose 72.49 points, or 0.5%, to 13,954.42.
The S&P 500 index added 7.66 points, or 0.5%, to 1,507.84. The Nasdaq Composite retreated just over half a point to 3,153.66.
