USAID targets supporting Egypt to reach $25 million exports through TRADE programme, stated deputy chairman of Trade (TRADE) Reform and Development programme, Ahmed El Yazid.
Trade Reform and Development (TRADE) programme aims to increase Egypt’s exports and promote foreign direct investment of small and medium enterprises in engineering products, food processing, home textiles, ready-made garments, chemicals, and building materials sectors, He clarified.
He added furthermore that the programme aids small and medium enterprises through enhancing SMEs competitiveness. It provides direct support in export related issues after identifying projects’ needs. The programme also enhances SMEs sustainability.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded, five-year programme is part of the bilateral co-operation agreement between the United States and Egypt.
