Egypt and the United Arab Emirates are set to sign a protocol for cooperation in establishing solar power stations to supply power for towns and villages which are not linked to the electricity grid.
The Grant is worth USD 140 m.
A source in the ministry of electricity revealed that the stations are expected to feed about 70 villages and remote city in Egypt.
The source added that the ministries of electricity and foreign cooperation are representing Egypt in this protocol while the UAE is represented by Minister of State Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber.
