The Hyundai Verna topped the list of best-selling Korean cars, achieving sales of EGP 1.9bn (US$ 242 million) throughout 2015, selling 21,000 units.
The Verna is considered the cheapest Korean car in Egypt.
Meanwhile Hyundai’s Elantra increased to second place, overtaking the Hyundai ix35. The Elantra achieved sales estimated at approximately EGP 1.1bn for 6,801 cars sold, while the ix35 came in third place, achieving EGP 1.5bn for 6377 cars.
The Kia Sportage ranked fourth, selling 4,379 at EGP 1.01bn, while the Kia Cerato sold 3,822 cars for EGP 622m.
