Vietnam’s fruit and vegetable exports hit a new single-month high of $917 million in September, marking a nearly nine per cent increase from August and a substantial 37 per cent rise compared to the same period last year.
Vietnam’s fruit and vegetable exports reached a record high of $5.64 billion in the first nine months of 2024, a 34 per cent increase from the previous year, according to the General Department of Customs.
The Import-Export Department credited the growth to durian exports to the Chinese market. It is anticipated that Vietnamese durian exports to all markets, particularly China, will reach $3.5 billion by the end of this year.
