Vietnam’s inflation to surge in ’24

Vietnam’s inflation is projected to reach 4-4.5 per cent in 2024, a significant increase from the 3.5 per cent recorded in 2023, due to rising global energy and food prices and the aftermath of Typhoon Yagi.

According to the latest data from the General Statistics Office, Vietnam’s core inflation in October rose by 0.23 per cent month-on-month and 2.68 per cent year-on-year.
