Egypt’s Competition Authority (ECA) had referred the three mobile operators Mobinil ,Etisalat and Vodafone  to public prosecutors for investigation, charging for raising the prices of mobile phone services.

ECA explained that the customers assumed more than EGP half a billion per year, adding that ECA received a notification during the last October against the three mobile operators to impose a tax stamp cards for clients, in conjunction with each others, starting from March 2012, which led to start taking investigations and procedures in addition to collecting the evidence of notifications.
