Eng. Hatem Dwedar, CEO of Vodafone Egypt, has revealed that the repeated acts of electricity outages during the last month has suspended 1000 strengthen stations in one day.
Dwedar has explained to Amwal Al Ghad that the repetition of electricity outages which happened in the summer season, which came back strongly affect the service, as in some cases it reached around 1000 strengthen stations.
Dwedar has emphasized that the repeated electricity interruption is affecting on the lifespan of batteries, asserting that Vodafone collected investments exceed more that EGP 3 billion within the current fiscal year.
Dwedar has pointed out that investments of the information and communication technology (ICT) sector boosted, noting that it is focusing on collecting around 50% from its total investments in internet and data services.
He further has affirmed that internet services are recording significantly more than voice services, explaining that it candidates to achieve more returns after the voice services have declined within the last years.
