Vodafone Egypt to invest 2 bln pounds on network
Vodafone Egypt plans to spend around 2 billion Egyptian pounds ($113.3 million) on upgrading its network over the next 18 months to keep pace with demand for data services, its CEO said.
Vodafone Egypt, majority owned by British mobile operator Vodafone (VOD.L), is the leading communications player by customer numbers in the country of more than 90 million.
The company has recently invested around 4 billion pounds to acquire the 4G licence, Hany Mahmoud said in an interview with BBC Arabic.
