Vodafone to boost Egypt investments this year
Vodafone Egypt plans to invest additional 1.5 billion Egyptian pounds ($90.6 million), taking total investments in the country to 5 billion pounds this year, senior official said on Sunday.
The additional money will go for covering operating costs and planned expansions to improve its network, Vodafone Egypt’s external affairs and legal director Ayman Essam told Amwal Al Ghad.
“This year, we’re looking to boost coverage of fourth-generation mobile telephony and increase our reliance on the artificial intelligence applications to improve the services.” Essam said.
The company’s annual operating expenses ranged between an average of 3 billion and 3.5 billion pounds over the past years, amid expectations to grow by around 40 percent this year, he added.
