40 Million Egyptian Voters Asking About Electoral Polls: MSAD

Eng. Tarek Saad, National Databases Program Director – Ministry of State for Administrative Development (MSAD) – said the total number of voters who asked about the locations of their electoral polls using different electronic methods (Higher Presidential Election Commission (HPEC) website, SMS number 5151, mobile applications, etc) reached 40 million.

Additionally, Saad told MENA that the total number of calls received through the contact center 140 has amounted to one million in two weeks till yesterday noon.

“The current presidential election has witnessed increasing usage of smart phone applications so as to know about the locations of the electoral polls.” Saad added

“We did not receive any complaints about finding difficulties in using the electronic methods to know the locations of the electoral polls. The MSAD has upgraded its website’s capability to contain the inquiries pressure caused by the large number of voters.”
