World Bank shows keenness to support the Egyptian tourism ministry’s plans for 2020.
Egyptian Minister of Tourism Hisham Zaazou has met Franck Bousquet – World Bank’s Manager of the Urban and Social Development Sectors in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region- on Wednesday. The two officials have discussed World Bank’s participation in the ministry’s strategy for 2020.
The meeting has tackled the means of support to raise manpower capabilities for the Egyptian tourism sector.
In addition, the meeting has referred to major projects and programmes executed by the World Bank to support the sustainable development system in the region, notably in the tourism sector.
Bousquet affirmed that World Bank believes that the Egyptian economy, particularly the tourism sector- would restore its place regionally and internationally in the upcoming period. He also noted that the Bank with its several programmes is ready to provide consultancy and technical support for Egypt in different fields.
He also asserted the bank’s keenness to coordinate between different Egyptian ministries to work in organized framework in order to achieve economic objectives.
