WHO: Egypt 1st in EMR to control hepatitis B

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared Egypt the first country in the East Mediterranean region to achieve the goal of controlling hepatitis B.

This milestone marks the culmination of decades of sustained efforts in public health, including awareness campaigns, vaccination drives, and improvements in healthcare infrastructure.
