Egypt was handed a favourable draw for the 2018 World Cup, as it was drawn against hosts Russia, Uruguay and Saudi Arabia.
The draw was held during a ceremony at the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow on Friday.
The Pharaohs, who were in pot 3, have been drawn in Group A. They will face 2010 World Cup semi-finalists Uruguay in their first group stage match at Ekaterinburg Arena on June 15 at 14:00 CLT.
Four days later, they’ll take on hosts Russia at Saint Petersburg Stadium at 20:00 CLT. Egypt’s last group game will be against Saudi Arabia at Volgograd Stadium on June 25, with kick off set for 16:00 CLT.
On the other hand, The opening game of the tournament will see Russia face Saudi Arabia at Luzhniki Stadium.
