Zambia eyes Egypt’s AOI to boost industrial cooperation

Zambia’s Health Minister Elijah Julake Moshima visited Egypt’s Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI) as part of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi‘s directives to enhance cooperation with African countries, the Cabinet reported on Wednesday.

This visit is part of the AOI’s ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships, expand cooperation, and increase the volume of inter-trade with African nations, according to the statement.

Discussions focused on leveraging the AOI’s advanced capabilities to support Zambia’s developmental and security industries. Both sides reviewed potential areas of cooperation in manufacturing and studied opening the Zambian market to Egyptian products as part of a broader African trade strategy.

Abdel Latif, the chairman of AOI, emphasised the strong bilateral relations between the two countries and the need to enhance cooperation in civil, defence, and security industries. He affirmed AOI’s commitment to supporting development projects in Zambia.
