EGX Indices End In Red On Foreign Selling Pressures

On Tuesday’s closing session, the EGX incurred losses of L.E 1.34 billion as the capital market amounted to L.E 356.046 billion.

The main index, EGX 30 went down 0.97% to close at 4907.36 p. EGX20 fell 0.63% to close at 5644.16 p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 slumped 0.02% to close at 438.37 p. Price index EGX100 dropped 0.10% to close at 775.04 p.

Traded volume reached million 87.546 securities, at a value of L.E 377.812 million, exchanged through 20.650 thousand transactions.

This was after trading in 173 listed securities; 85 down and 71 up while 17 keeping their previous levels.

Egyptians were net sellers seizing 85.43% of the total market.

Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers seizing 53.63%, and 14.59% respectively.

Additionally, Non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers seizing 31.78%.
