Egypt’s Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals targets 5-10% rise in sales

Egypt’s Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals Co – Sidpec is targeting increasing its sales by 5-10 percent in 2016, its head of marketing studies Mohamed Saad said Thursday.

By the end of 2015, Sidpec generated total sales of 1.533 billion Egyptian pounds ($195.6 million).

Saad further told Amwal Al Ghad that his company succeeded in achieving 95 percent of its production scheme for 2015. Accordingly, Sidi Kerir’s volume of production reached 224,000 tonnes of polyethylene. Around 136,191 tonnes of polyethylene have been sold in the local market last year.

Last December, the company signed a contract worth US$26 million with the German ThyssenKrupp to improve the gas specifications.
