The export and import activities in Qastal-Ashket crossing between Egypt and Sudan reached US$23 million since the start of trial operation in August 2014, Egyptian trade minister Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour said.
Abdel Nour added that the volume of exports recorded around US$10 million, including vegetables, fruits, food products, electric appliances, furniture, fertilisers, and other products.
Meanwhile, the volume of imports during the period from August 1st 2014 until March 2015, hit US$13 million, including frozen meat, livestock, sesame, bananas, and other products.
