Seven Egyptian startups will participate in the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) taking place in Netherlands, Chief of Mission and Chargé d’Affaires of the United States in Egypt Thomas Goldberger said on Monday.
GES is an annual event that will be organised by the U.S. State Department to share and create strategies for success with a global peer network, in addition to access to business leaders and government influencers.
More than 300 investors and 1,000 entrepreneurs worldwide will also partake in the GES on June 3-4, Goldberger said.
The three-day event is gathering the world’s top entrepreneurs around five innovation sectors; agriculture, water, health, energy, and connectivity.
The Egyptian startups were carefully chosen among several entrepreneurs, said Goldberger in a press conference held at the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt’s headquarters in Cairo.
