In September, around 897 new companies have been created in Egypt, totalling EGP 1.898 billion in authorized capitals. This comes in comparison with 649 companies created in Egypt during September 2013.
According to the Egyptian General Authority for Investment (GAFI)’s report, the Financial Services excluding Banks Sector allured highest number of investors during September.

Around 376 companies for financial services were established in September.
The Industrial sector ranked second, with total number of companies founded in September amounting to 230. Coming third, the Construction and Building Materials sector witnessed the launch of 143 new companies during this month.
Fourthly, around 63 new companies founded in September were in sector of Telecommunications and Information Technology.
In Agriculture sector, there were about 51 new companies launched in September.
At the bottom of the list, the Tourism sector reported the inception of 43 new companies in September.

Menya governorate witnessed the inception of 16 new companies, the highest during September. Sohag governorate came in the second position, registering 13 new companies established in one month. Ranked third, Sharqia recorded a number of new companies of 11.
