Microsoft advises California employees to work from home on coronavirus fears

Microsoft on Thursday is encouraging employees in California’s Bay Area and the Puget Sound area in Washington to work from home for the next few weeks amid fears coronavirus outbreak.

More than a third of Microsoft’s 151,163 employees work in the Puget Sound area as of December 31.

Earlier this week, the tech giant canceled a conference it had planned to hold in the region later this month.
