Coronavirus deaths in Canada jump by almost 12% in one single day

The total number of coronavirus deaths in Canada has jumped by around 12 percent to 1,506 on Sunday from 1,346 the previous day, according to official data posted by the public health agency.
In a statement posted shortly before 11:00 eastern time (1500 GMT), the number of new coronavirus cases in Canada had surged to 33,922, compared to 32,412 on Saturday.
