Egypt reports 232 new coronavirus cases, its highest daily toll

Egypt on Thursday reported 232 new coronavirus cases, its highest daily toll since confirming the first infection in February.
The North African country, which also reported 11 new fatalities on Thursday, has so far recorded 3,891 cases including 287 deaths.
A total of 1,004 people had recovered from the fast-spreading disease and been released from hospitals as of Thursday, Egypt’s Health Ministry said in a statement.
