EGX’s Losses reach L.E4.2 Billion: Closing Session

On Sunday’s closing session, the EGX incurred losses reached L.E4.2 billion as the capital market reached L.E384.447 billion.

The main index, EGX 30 slipped down 1.79% to close at 5300.26. EGX20 dropped by 1.91% to close at 6256.04p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 dipped 0.91% to close at 508.21p. Price index EGX100 edged down 1.10% to close at 859.05p.

The total value traded recorded L.E562.337 million; while the total volume traded reached 131.278 million securities executed over 27.476 thousand transactions this week.

This was after trading in 179 listed securities; 132 down and 39 up while 8 keeping their previous levels.
