Banque Misr’s MSME Finances Hit EGP 700 Mln By End Of 2012

Banque Misr’s SME loan portfolio rose to over EGP 700 million at the end of 2012. Sources said the bank plans to increase the value of SME finances to EGP one billion in FY 2012/2013, noting that the SME finance portfolio includes finances offered to micro-enterprises as well.

The bank offers financing services for MSMEs with values ranging from EGP 2,000 to EGP 20 million. These enterprises highly contribute to creating job opportunities.

In addition, the bank offers micro-enterprises finances ranging from EGP 2,000 to 25,000, while existing or under-construction small enterprises are given up to EGP 2 million through mid-and small term loans.
