Amir El-Masry calls for ceasefire in Gaza during BAFTA Scotland awards
Egyptian-British actor, Amir El-Masry called on Sunday for a ceasefire in Gaza in his speech at the British Academy Film and Television (BAFTA) Scotland Awards, before presenting the award for Best Actress.
He said “before I start, I just want to say that my heart goes out to all the women, men, and children who are currently suffering right now in Gaza. Let’s hope for peace in the region and an imminent ceasefire. “
El-Masry shared in his Instagram accounts how he believes these actions may seem small in comparison to the reality in Gaza, while urging other people to continue speaking up.
