Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, has announced the opening of its first Middle East IT Competence Center located in Bahrain to support the advancement of the country’s overall IT and telecommunications industry while acting as an excellence hub for innovation at the global level.
The multinational company which also locates its Middle East headquarters in Bahrain–has established the new center particularly to develop high-level IT competencies of students up to senior-level professionals. Over the coming years, this will include a host of new jobs being created while cooperating with local Bahrain universities and education institutions on global research projects, providing an independent IT training program to students from across the Middle East, and equipping Huawei’s customers in Bahrain with the latest IT support tools to further advance communication networks in the Kingdom.

Huawei has been operating in the Middle East for over 10 years and has built several landmark ICT projects within Bahrain including work on the recent IT Outsourcing projects for customers across the Kingdom, leveraging the company’s proven global experience and technical expertise.
With Huawei’s vast technological experience in 150 countries worldwide, the company’s latest investment will help create jobs in the IT field while ensuring that local telecom subscribers will have access to some of the most advanced broadband technologies in the world.
