Egypt’s CBE offers EGP 60b in T-bills on Sunday
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) on Sunday auctioned a total of 60 billion Egyptian pounds in two treasury bill auctions, according to a CBE statement on its website.
This auction offers investors two options for investing in government debt with varying maturities.
Investors can choose between:
91-day T-bills: offering an investment of 30 billion pounds with a maturity day of August 13th, 2024.
273-day T-bills: offering an investment of 30 billion pounds with a maturity day of February 2nd, 2025.
The CBE likely releases details on the accepted bids and weighted average yields on their website after the auction concludes.
