Russia’s stock market gains on Monday

Russia’s stock market opened on a positive note with gains on the Moscow Exchange on Monday. As of 10:15 am Moscow time, the MOEX Index climbed by 0.49 per cent to 3,164.66 points, and the RTS Index also increased by 0.49 per cent to 1,131.15 points.

The yuan appreciated against the rouble, rising by 3.4 kopecks to 12.007 roubles.

Earlier, at 10:00 am, the MOEX Index was up by 0.31 per cent to 3,159.18 points, while the RTS Index rose by 0.31 per cent to 1,129.19 points. The yuan had strengthened by 1.2 kopecks from the previous close of 11.985 roubles.
