Egypt’s training funds invests EGP236m since 2003

The Egyptian Ministry of Labour has reported that its Training and Qualification Fund has invested a significant amount of 236 million Egyptian pound to enhance vocational training and rehabilitation since its inception in 2003.

The announcement came during the fund’s board meeting chaired by Labour Minister, Mohamed Gaber, in which they reviewed the fund’s financial performance for the fiscal year 2023/2024 and the ongoing and future activities.

Emphasising the development of training centres, the minister highlighted vocational training as a critical priority for preparing youth for the labour market. The board also considered a proposal for collaboration with the Egyptian Federation of Industries (FEI) to improve training centres, particularly in the ready-made garment sector.
