Egypt’s gold reserves surge 3.69% in August – CBE
Egypt’s gold reserves, a key component of its international reserves, rose by 3.69 per cent in August, reaching $10.262 billion from $9.883 billion in July, according to Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) data released on Thursday.
The foreign currencies’ value also saw a slight increase, rising 0.03 per cent to $36.317 billion in August compared to $36.306 billion in July.
Overall, Egypt’s net foreign reserves grew to $46.597 billion in August from $46.489 billion in July.
