Egypt greenlights $60m linen, textile free zone in Monufia

The Egyptian Cabinet has approved the establishment of a special free zone for “Kingdom for linen Company” in Sadat City, Monufia Governorate, to focus on linen, spinning, and textile production.

The project, covering approximately 52,000 square metres with an investment of around $60 million, aims to create over 500 jobs and will export at least 100 per cent of its annual output.

The facility is expected to become one of the largest in the sector within five years, utilising local materials and advanced technology to ensure high-quality production that meets international standards.
