MSMEDA, Aman sign EGP 25m agreement to boost handicraft projects
The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) and Aman Company have signed an 25 million Egyptian pounds financing agreement to support handicraft and heritage projects across Egypt.
This initiative, under the Handicraft Microfinance Project, aligns with the national goal of promoting self-employment and job creation, especially for women and youth.
Basil Rahmi, MSMEDA’s CEO, noted that the funding is expected to benefit around 250 micro-enterprises in production clusters, particularly in underserved areas. Hazem Maghazi, CEO of Aman Holding, emphasised that the collaboration aims to improve living standards and drive local economic development through Aman’s extensive network of 212 financing branches, empowering artisans and small business owners to grow their projects and strengthen Egypt’s formal economy.
