Thailand exports grow for 5th straight month in Nov. ’24

Thailand’s exports continued to grow for the fifth consecutive month in November, fueled by an increase in technology-related products and a strong demand for agricultural and food items, the Ministry of Commerce reported on Wednesday.

The country’s exports increased 8.2 per cent last month compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of $25.6 billion. This growth rate was lower than the 14.6 per cent increase recorded in October.

The increase was credited to a strong delivery of manufactured goods, supported by proactive changes made by different countries to adapt to new trade conditions and geopolitical challenges, the ministry added.

Thailand’s exports are projected to hit a new record high this year, surpassing $300 billion, despite a sluggish global economy and ongoing geopolitical tensions, according to the director general of the ministry’s Trade Policy and Strategy Office.
