Egyptians’ businesses in Ethiopia are deeply safe and warmly welcomed by the Ethiopian authorities, said the Chairman of the Ethiopian Egyptian Business Council to Amwal Al Ghad on Monday.
Mr. Alaa Al Sakty – the Chairman of the Ethiopian Egyptian Business – further stated that Egyptians’ factories in Ethiopia are providing job opportunities for thousands of Ethiopians amid the multiple economic challenges faced by the country, notably the mounting unemployment rates and declining levels of industrialization. Therefore, it is unlikely that Egyptian factories in Ethiopia could see any stoppage possibilities.
Yet, Mr. Al Sakty urges Egypt’s new interim leadership to draw up urgent scenarios so as to deal with the Ethiopia’s Renaissance Dam crisis and secure the Egyptian share of the Nile waters.
It is worth noting that the Egyptian investments in Ethiopia are amounted to 72 projects in fields of agriculture, animal productions, industrialization, tourism, and real estate.
