Death Toll in Egyptian Clashes Rises to 28: State Media

At least 15 people were killed and 83 were wounded on Sunday in clashes between supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood and their opponents, a health ministry official told satellite news channel ONTV in a phone interview.

Thousands of supporters of deposed Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi marched through Cairo on Sunday towards Tahrir Square to protest against his ouster and the interim government.

Meanwhile, pro-army supporters gathered in Tahrir Square to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the war with Israel in which the Egyptian authorities retrieved Sinai.
