AlexBank, a group of Intesa Sanpaolo Group, reported more than 13% growth (or EGP 1.4 billion) in its 9-month total investments in governmental instruments.
The bank recorded EGP 11.782 billion (US$1.6 billion) in total investments in treasury bills and other governmental instruments by end of September 2014, from EGP 10.337 billion by end of 2013.
AlexBank’s financial statements further revealed a surge worth EGP 1.9 billion in total loans and credit facilities by September-end, compared to EGP 19.601 billion by 2013-end.
Moreover, AlexBank’s volume of deposits also hiked to EGP 35.306 billion by September-end, opposed to EGP 33.924 billion by 2013-end.
