Cairo launches 3 Solar Power Plants on top of Government Buildings

Three solar power generation stations will be inaugurated today on top of the buildings of Cairo Governorate’s General Bureau.

Galal Saeed – Cairo Governor – will inaugurate the three stations in the presence of Egyptian Ministers of Electricity Mohamed Shaker and of Local Development Adel Labib.

The solar power stations to generate electricity built on top of the governorates’ buildings are part of the new mechanisms for the energy conservation. Many governorates had offered tenders to a number of companies which will execute the projects.

It is planned to launch a number of tenders to establish solar power stations on top of several government buildings to rationalize the consumption.
