Egypt’s Cassation Court has postponed its ruling on an appeal the decision to drop charges against ex-president Hosni Mubarak over his alleged role in the killing of protesters during the 2011 uprising.
The court will now decide whether to accept or reject the appeal on 7 May.
In November, a criminal court dropped charges against 86-year-old Mubarak over his complicity in the murder of protesters during the January 2011 uprising.
In the same case, former interior minister Habib El-Adly, along with his six aides, were acquitted of murder and attempted murder related to the killing of protesters in 2011.
The prosecutor-general started appeal procedures in December.
